Dr. Gary Levine D.O. - Medical Director

Dr. Gary Levine, D.O.Dr. Gary Levine attended University of South Florida graduating in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. He attended North Texas State University, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine earning his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. He is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of General Practice.

He joined the Medical Specialist of Tampa Bay, LLC as the Medical Director in January of 2008. He has 15 years’ experience providing comprehensive medical care to injured patients. He is on Staff at Community Hospital and a member of the American Osteopathic Association. He lives in Pinellas County with his wife Marcie.

 

 


James G. Majorana, D.C. – Director of Chiropractic Services


James G MajoranaDr. James G. Majorana attended Life College School of Chiropractic and graduated in 1995 earning his Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic.

In April of 2007, he joined Medical Specialist of Tampa Bay, LLC as the Director of Chiropractic and Therapy. He has 15 years of experience providing care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions/injuries and combines mainstream and alternative medicine. Patient management involves spinal manipulation and manual therapies to the joints and soft tissues, rehabilitative exercises, massage, electrical and ultrasound modalities. He coordinates treatment protocols with other Specialists for optimal patient results.

He resides in Pasco County with his wife Constance and three children.

 

 

Dr. Jonathan Hall M.D. Neuro Surgeon
Dr Jonathan HallJonathan Scott Hall, MD is a respected leader in the field of Neurosurgery in Pinellas County. After enjoying several years in a group practice he now practices solo in the city of St. Petersburg focusing on a wide-spectrum of interests including brain and spinal surgery. Prior to relocating to Florida Dr. Hall obtained his medical degree from Columbia University’s prestigious College of Physicians and Surgeons where he developed a passion for Neurosurgery and received honors in both his Surgery and Neurosurgery rotations. He has published many peer-reviewed research articles, and has made numerous presentations at the Congress of Neurological Surgeons as well as the American Association of Neurological Surgeons national meetings. After the completion of a rigorous Surgical Internship and Neurosurgical residency at Emory University Dr. Hall has adopted Pinellas County as his home and has been devoted to the community for over 5 years. With patient satisfaction a top priority Dr. Hall delivers passionate care while taking advantage of the very latest in technological advances in such diverse areas of specialty as brain tumors, complex spine, trauma, and peripheral nerve syndromes. Dr. Lisa Avery M.D. Neurology
Dr. Avery completed her specialty training in Neurology at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in 2003. There she was honored with the Excellence in Student Teaching Award during her chief year. Prior to earning her medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine in 1998, she attended Alma College and University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After graduating in 1992, she became interested in scientific research. Most notable is her preclinical medical research at the University of Michigan Medical School which she presented as the primary author at FASEB  (Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology) national conference in 1994. Also, Dr. Avery finished a post-doctoral fellowship in Alzheimer’s Disease at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York and the results of her research were published in the peer-reviewed journal Cerebral Cortex: “Visual Mechanisms of Spatial Orientation in Alzheimer’s Disease”, November 2001.

 

Dr. Young  Clinical Psychologist
Dr Robert YoungDr. Robert Young has dedicated his career to the study and treatment of physical and mental health problems within a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach. Dr. Young specializes in treating patients with chronic pain and other chronic physical health problems as well as traditional psychiatric illnesses such as depression and anxiety. He relies on scientifically validated treatment approaches to help patients with these debilitating problems to improve their functioning and maximize their quality of life.

Born in Michigan but raised primarily in Ohio, Dr. Young graduated from Bowling Green Senior High School in 1987 and enlisted in the United States Army where he served on active duty until 1991. After completing his Bachelors’ degree from Bowling Green State University he entered graduate school in the Psychology Department at Florida State University. Dr. Young earned his Doctorate in Philosophy degree (Ph.D) in 2002 after completing internships and post-doctorate work at the Bay Pines Veteran’s Hospital and the James A. Haley Veterans hospital in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Young worked closely with physicians, physical and occupational therapists and nurses for 2 ½ years as part of a multidisciplinary team in the Chronic Pain Treatment Program at the James A. Haley VA Hospital. It was during this time he developed his skill in helping patients with chronic physical and mental health problems improve their functioning and quality of life, integrating mental health and behavioral health care with medical treatments.

Dr. Young is licensed as a psychologist in the state of Florida and maintains professional affiliations with organizations such as the American Pain Society, American Academy of Pain Management and the American Psychological Association.

Ericka Mondol, Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Ericka MondolEricka Mondol joined the practice in 2010. Ms. Mondol is a Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and brings with her a wide background of experience. Ms. Mondol was born and raised in Tampa Bay and received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of South Florida. She went on to receive her Masters of Science Degree in Nursing from Vanderbilt University with a focus on Acute Care. Ms. Mondol has worked in several Emergency Rooms in Tennessee and Florida. She has also spent time working with a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician group in a hospital and private practice setting. All of these experiences have prepared her to successfully meet the needs of those suffering with acute injury as well as those requiring ongoing follow-up and treatment. Ms. Mondol is a member of the Florida Nurses Association as well as Sigma Theta Tau for academic excellence. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and her two young children.

 

 

 

David Wieland, D.C. – Chiropractor

Dr David Wieland, DCDr. David Wieland is a lifelong resident of Pinellas County. He attended National College
of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois earning his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate Degree in
Chiropractic in 1983.

He joined Medical Specialist of Tampa Bay, LLC in August of 2009. He delivers consistent high quality patient care, clinical evaluation and decision making for injured patients.

He enjoys exercise, off-road bicycle riding and being in or around the water. He has three grownchildren and one grandchild.

 

 

Dr. William D. Foxworthy, M.D., Radiologist
Dr. William D. Foxworthy, M.D., RadiologistWilliam D. Foxworthy, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Radiology, skilled in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging, and has special expertise in MRI and Musculoskeletal Radiology.

Dr. Foxworthy is originally from Bradenton, FL, where he grew up and he later attended the University of Central Florida. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Medical Education in 1990 majoring in both Biology and Psychology. Following College, he completed his formal medical training at the University of Miami School of Medicine, earning his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1994.

Dr. Foxworthy spent five years in Internship and Residency at Baptist Hospital Health Systems (affiliated with University of Alabama) in Birmingham, AL and graduated from the Diagnostic Radiology Program in 1999. He completed an additional year in a formal Musculoskeletal Fellowship in Birmingham and graduated in June 2000.

Dr. Foxworthy has worked in a number of capacities in private practice since his fellowship training in 2000. He is active in many state and national medical societies and his goal is to provide the best Radiology care to patients and referring physicians. He looks forward to personalized service and excellent communication with the referring physician community.

 

Scott Gebhardt, D.O. – Internal Medicine Physician

Scott Gebhardt, D.O.Dr. Scott Gebhardt attended the Arizona State University graduating in 1993 with a Bachelors of Exercise Science and a Bachelor of Business Administration from San Diego State University in 1995.  He attended Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine earning his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine.  He is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.

He joined the Medical Specialists of Tampa Bay in May of 2011.  He has 14 years of experience providing health care in a private care setting and as a Hospitalist in the Tampa Bay area.

He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association.

His interest include Radio Talk Show Host for multiple subjects; diabetes, hypertension, preventive health and dementia.  He enjoys exercise and biking.

He has 2 children and resides in Hernando County. 

 

Dr Bulmer, Orhtopedic Surgeon

Dr. Wendell Bulmer attended the University of New England earning his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine and specializing in Orthopedic Surgery.

He joined the Medical Specialists of Tampa Bay in February of 2011.  He is on Staff and is the Chief of Staff at Town and Country Hospital.  He is a member of the American Orthopedic Association.

He is married with two children and resides in Hillsborough Country.

 

Mardi Buchanan, D.C. – Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Mardi Buchanan attended the Regents Excelsior College in Albany New York receiving her Bachelors of Science in 1999.  She attended Life University and earned her Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic.

She joined the Medical Specialists of Tampa in March of 2011.  She has 12 year experience in private practice setting and injury medicine.

She resides in Hillsborough County.
